The Director, Business Development and Facilities Management oversees new business development including opening and relocation of new and existing office locations throughout the United States. This includes site selection, lease negotiation, construction project management and facilities maintenance of all company locations. Leads staff responsible for all daily and annual maintenance for 105 existing office locations. The position reports to the CFO at SCI Direct.


  • Manage all expenditures, both operating expenses and capital expenditures in accordance with budgeted amounts

  • Oversee construction project management for 1500 -3000 square feet retail office buildouts, including detail job costing and GC selection

  • Manage retail leases, including negotiating all terms, conditions and provisions, including legal and compliance review.

  • Lead team responsible for all aspects of daily repairs and maintenance of field offices throughout the United States.

  • Complete both routine and emergency repairs to furniture, fixtures and leasehold improvements, including HVAC systems

  • Maintain security systems at each location.

  • Manage staff responsible for procurement of all furniture, fixtures and equipment necessary to outfit each office location, including fabrication and installation of all company signage at each office location.

  • Issue RFPs for general contractors to perform Tenant improvements and buildout of retail office spaces, including working with GC to file all permit applications and floor plans for each project.

  • Works closely with business leaders to support company growth


  • Lead staff responsible for all daily and annual maintenance for 105 existing office locations

  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations



  • A bachelor’s degree in business management or related field is required; however, directly related experience will be considered in lieu of degree on a year-for-year basis.


  • 8+ years of experience in construction, property maintenance and management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Working knowledge of CAD software a plus


Work Environment

  • Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions

  • 20% business travel required
