The Senior Cyber Security Project Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of Cyber Security and other IT Projects spanning one or more areas of the business. Manages project resources, other staff in their area of responsibility, schedules, and financials and adheres to project management frameworks. This includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. This role has the authority to run the project(s) on a day-to-day basis.


  • Plans, budgets, oversees, and documents all phases of a project including concept, feasibility, planning, execution and closure

  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery includes full implementation from initiation to deployment for multiple large-scale, multi work stream projects and or programs simultaneously

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to: help build a business case for the project prior to project approval; ensure business requirements are clearly defined and documented; define the scope, risks, potential issues and resources of the project, and; ensure expected benefits are realized while managing the impact of the change to the business

  • Manages all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to, and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives

  • Oversees the various work streams of activities in the project and provides status reporting to leadership regarding milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, mitigation plans, metrics, test and deployment

  • Develops portfolio and or program level dashboards, monthly reports, schedules, budgets, presentations and related performance metrics

  • Manages a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or more areas of the business

  • Provides leadership and strategic direction to the project team and manages activities and resources

  • Chairs project team and Executive Steering Committee meetings

  • Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations

  • Develops unique knowledge of each client‘s business, organization and objectives

  • Measures and track progress using various tools and techniques

  • Develops working relationships with program stakeholders, sponsors and executives

  • Leads the development of goals and objectives for each project

  • Manages the process and progress of each project to ensure the client’s needs are met

  • Manages project scope and change control processes

  • Participates in vendor selections and development as well as assisting in development of Statements of Work and specifications for evaluation by key stakeholders

  • Monitors, tracks and controls outcomes to resolve issues, dependencies and critical deliverables

  • Ensures presentations and all work produced are of highest quality

MINIMUM Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience which is 2 years of experience as a Sr. Project Manager


  • PMP Certification


  • Eight (8) years of experience as a project manager

  • Four (4) years of experience managing Cyber Security Projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks and processes

  • Fully proficient in MS Project, MS Office Suite and SharePoint

  • Cognizant of new project management techniques and trends

  • Financial management and analytical skills

  • Effective time management and conflict management skills

  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Interpersonal skills to influence, lead and effect change

  • Demonstrated team management skills

  • Ability to train and mentor others on effective project management techniques

  • Knowledge of Organizational Change Management Skills a plus


Work Environment

  • Work indoors during all seasons and weather conditions

  • Some local and/or multiple location traveling may be required

  • Professional Dress is required

  • Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day

  • Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently

Physical Demands

  • Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage
