Serves a vital role in supporting true marketing automation: bringing together multiple data sets (Google Analytics, Salesforce CRM, POS data, customer satisfaction data, etc.) to define actionable characteristics and insights to improve the overall customer experience. Responsible for developing a deep understanding of business processes (across Sales, Marketing, and Operations) to serve as a liaison between business owners and IT to enable deeper targeting, segmentation, and automation. This role will power measurable improvement in customer satisfaction and sales through highly personalized engagement via marketing automation. Successful incumbent is results-oriented and collaborative team player with a keen ability to demystify data and streamline processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting with basic data requests, creation of test plans, and provision of testing evidence to automate consumption of data sources in the Data Warehouse.

  • Developing detailed use cases and business requirements that support deeper targeting, segmentation, journey mapping.

  • Maintaining detailed documentation and taxonomy definition (e.g. “data dictionary”) of consumer characteristics and interactions stored in various systems across the organization.

  • Monitoring existing integrations of data from external and internal sources to minimize service disruptions

  • Conducting ad hoc analyses into critical business questions and company initiatives related to marketing automation and identification of new use cases.

  • Support development of dashboards and reports to measure specific KPIs across Sales and Marketing initiatives, providing routine reporting and greater visibility of performance trends for business owners.

  • Evaluating changing organization capabilities and tools to identify new sources of data that could be used for richer analyses or automation of segments in the customer journey.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or a related discipline

Experience

  • At least two (2) years analytical research and analysis of sales and/or marketing

  • Experience with SQL, Google Analytics, or data visualization

  • Statistical background is a plus

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong computer skills including Excel (Pivot Tables), Word, PowerPoint and CRM, SQL, and similar statistical programs

  • Deep understanding of multi-relational databases and data manipulation concepts

  • Advanced analytics and visualization skills with Tableau and SAS

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • High attention to detail
