Oversee the day-to-day development of next-generation systems and web applications on the company’s approved enterprise platforms. Perform all necessary tasks related to company systems, including troubleshooting technical issues and point person for issues within the team. Project manage deliverables with team and stakeholders. Provide system administrative support for daily operational activities of the department. Collaborate with decision-makers in various departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions to enhance the customer experience. Streamline operations to align with the business objectives. Develop and document controls and procedures related to the application development life cycle.


Strategy & Planning

  • Implement long-term goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining enterprise software and systems.

  • Ensures new and existing system designs comply with standards and architectural plans.

  • Plans, implements, assigns and directs the activities of professional and technical personnel involved in the design, development and systems analysis required for software solutions.

  • Review performance of applications to ensure efficiency, documentation, and operations meets the user needs.

  • Provides technical information required for the preparation of annual budget figures for the application development, hardware and software and resources needed to ensure timely response to needs of user and business units.

  • Conducts research and analysis to provide innovative solutions to complex software problems.

  • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, and evaluations.

Operational Management

  • Writes and modifies existing programs developed either in-house or by software vendors, documents complex solution programs for application systems, debugs programs, develops test data, and verifies output solutions to address user needs.

  • Deliver clear presentations and expectations of the proposed technical concepts and plans.

  • Analyze and design the development of new projects, enhancements, and software solutions.

  • Manages the development team’s daily operations, provides technical expertise to staff supervised, and resolves problems escalated to the manager level.

  • Manages, maintains, and monitors project plans, timelines, and testing.

  • Advises and consults with departments regarding the identification of software and information system areas, determines procedural changes and/or application program modifications, and assists with problem resolution.

  • Coordinate communications between information technology teams to ensure effective intra-department communications and coordination on projects, i.e., data warehouse, security, integrations, help desk, network, desktop engineering, etc.

  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders to partner with internal teams and external vendors and subsidiaries, i.e., MeM, SCI Direct.

  • Ensure compliance with the company’s security and audit controls around data, systems, and processes.

  • Reviews and analyzes existing applications programs and programs in development to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of those programs; reviews requests for program changes required to meet the needs of the business.

MINIMUM Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems


  • Eight (8) years of related work experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong technical background developing modern web technologies and supporting enterprise systems.

  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft development technologies and modern web technologies, i.e. .NET, MS SQL, C#, Azure, JavaScript and Angular.

  • Solid database and API and integration background.

  • Proven experience in software development in an enterprise setting and ability to keep up with software industry trends and innovation.

  • Experience in problem-solving, process improvement methods, and business re-engineering methods.

  • Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.

  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to multitask with good organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to research emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.

  • Ability to present ideas with clarity and concise language to help influential decision-makers understand complex concepts.

  • Strong communication, consultative, and client relationship skills.

  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Efficiently meeting deadlines, schedules, and target dates.

  • Effectively supervising, leading, and delegating tasks and authority.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials.

  • Up to 60% travel required between Houston and Fort Lauderdale offices
